9:30 a.m. Child Safety Seminar
For children ages 4 and older, this seminar will cover "what is a
stranger?" and identifying tricks and lure strangers use.

10:30 a.m. Fall Self-Defense Exhibition
Open to current students of either schools.

Both Junior and Senior Divisions
Beginner Division - White, Yellow and Orange
Advanced Division - Green and Blue

Students may use up to two partners and will be judged on a
pre-arranged self-defense routine. Students will be judged on skill,
spirit, and overall technique.

Awards given for each division.

Special Black Belt Exhibition to be held.

Registration fees: $15 (before Oct. 14), $20 (after Oct. 14)

Women's Personal Safety Seminar

Guest Instructor Laura Beluschak (5th Dan Black Belt)

Open to current female students and their guests.

Topics that will be covered include:

Increasing your awareness – identify pre-incident factors and
how to recognize potential problems before they occur

Distract and strike principles – secret skills designed to buy yourself
a second and disable your attacker with the stroke of your hand

Control techniques – simple techniques based on pain and off-balance
that will render an attacker under your control

Special self-defense skills – effective techniques against armed
and un-armed attackers

How to breath – methods of controlling your breathing in high-anxiety
situations that will allow you to respond positively and not react
negatively, a key to managing stress

Grandmaster and Ms. Laura Promoted
When Do Ju Nim Ji Han Jae visited the schools in October,
Grandmaster John Beluschak was promoted to 9th Dan in
Sin Moo Hapkido. Ms. Laura also received her next rank, that
of 5th Dan, making her the highest ranking female in the art.








Instructors Honored
At a recent event held in Atlantic City, Grandmaster John Beluschak
was honored by Action Martial Arts Magazine with the Golden Lifetime
Achievement Award. Ms. Laura received the award for Excellence in
Instruction.
